Position Overview
We seek an experienced Bioinformatics Program Manager to lead computational immunology research initiatives across multiple translational vaccine and therapeutic programs. You will bridge computational science, program management, and scientific leadership—designing and executing immunoinformatics analyses, managing complex research programs with multiple stakeholders, and advancing our mission to accelerate vaccine discovery for populations with the greatest need.
Key Responsibilities
Lead computational immunology workstreams, including immunogenicity assessment, epitope mapping, HLA binding prediction, as well as perform statistical analysis of T cell and B cell responses to candidate antigens.
Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for immunoinformatics initiatives.
Develop expertise in the use of EpiVax tools (ISPRI, iVAX, Ancer) and the application of these tools to validate, target antigens, and develop computational pipelines for vaccine design.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with vaccine research and development groups, and external partners.
Support business development with computational analysis summaries and presentations.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Immunology, or related field (or masters with experience)
5+ years of professional experience in bioinformatics or computational immunology
Demonstrated expertise in immunoinformatics methodologies (HLA binding prediction, epitope analysis, immunogenicity assessment)
Strong programming skills (Python, R, Perl, or similar)
Familiarity with sequence databases (GenBank, UniProt) and protein sequence analysis tools
Research or professional background in oncology and/or infectious diseases
Experience managing complex research programs with multiple stakeholders
Strong communication skills; ability to convey complex immunoinformatics concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with various computational immunology platform or similar integrated immunoinformatics suites
Background in vaccine development or immunotherapy
Experience with regulatory submissions involving computational methods
Published research in peer-reviewed journals
